Amber McCrink
Guest Choreographer
Amber McCrink is a dancer, choreographer, educator and judge. Amber is trained in various styles both commercial and concert such as contemporary, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, tap, graham, horton, ballet, jazz funk, and theater dance. She attended LaGuardia High School also known as “The Fame School '' as a dance major earning a Chancellors of the Arts Endorsed Diploma and NY State Regents Dance Diploma. There she was inducted for the Lee Theodore Award and was a part of LaGuardia Dance Ensemble. She began assisting her teachers in professional settings at a young age, inspiring her to become a choreographer and instructor. Amber has multiple stage credits, some including the first ever recreation of "Revelations'' performed outside of the Ailey Company, Landmark theater in Spain, Earl Mosley’s Winter Repertory Showcase, Young Choreographers Festival, Sybrite, ADE, and Michael Susten & Co. Ambers TV and film credits include World of Dance in LA, Season16 of So You Think You Can Dance FOX TV top 100 and various music videos. Amber’s choreography has been showcased in Sybarite NYC, Project Create, Journey Dance NYC, BCDP Winter Showcase, Koin & Co. Showcase, Artist Josie J’s music video “WYA”, RDC opening number, and LaGuardia’s Junior & Senior showcases. All while building her professional career in the Arts Amber earned her B.S. in Arts Entertainment Management and Pre- Law at Pace University. Currently she is the Director of McCrink & Co., a NYC based performance company. Amber is a weekly instructor at various studios and volunteers for programs that use dance as a form of movement therapy for people with disabilities. Amber is eager to utilize her love for dance and background in business and law to help ensure dance is an inclusive, safe and equitable industry for all. She believes molding the next generation of artists to be well rounded, educated, confident and kind is imperative to our industry's survival and is one of her favorite things about her job.
